Messaging Compliance Is Destination and Use-Case Specific

Rules for business communications differ by country, channel, sender type, message purpose and recipient relationship. Alert21 provides technical and operational controls, but every customer remains responsible for ensuring that its use of the platform, recipient data and communications are lawful and properly authorized.

1. India Messaging

For commercial communication in India that is subject to the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR), customers must maintain the registrations, sender identities/headers, approved content templates, consent or preference records and other requirements applicable to their traffic. Alert21 may validate DLT mappings and may reject traffic that is missing, mismatched, inactive or not permitted.

2. Privacy and Personal Data

Scriza Private Limited processes personal data in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements. Depending on the processing and the relevant effective dates, this can include the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules made under it, as well as other laws that apply to the customer, recipient or processing location.

3. International Messaging

International messaging can require destination-specific sender registration, local presence, pre-approval, consent, opt-out wording, restricted-content controls, time-of-day restrictions, data-protection requirements and special rules for certain industries. A route being technically available does not mean every use case is legally permitted.

4. Customer Responsibility

  • Use accurate business and KYC information.
  • Use only sender identities and templates that you are authorized to use.
  • Maintain evidence of consent or other lawful authority when required.
  • Honor opt-out, DND and preference requirements.
  • Avoid restricted, deceptive, illegal or abusive content.
  • Review destination rules before starting traffic in a new country or channel.

5. Platform Enforcement

Alert21 may request documents, limit routes, reject messages, suspend sending or terminate access when necessary to comply with law, telecom/provider requirements, security obligations, anti-abuse standards or a valid regulatory request.

6. Compliance Contact

Compliance or destination-availability questions may be sent to info@scriza.in. Guidance provided by Alert21 is operational information and is not a substitute for legal advice specific to your organization or jurisdiction.
