What Is a Principal Entity (PE) ID?
The PE ID helps establish who is accountable for the message. It should correspond to the organization whose registered header and content templates are being used.
In the India DLT commercial communication framework, a Principal Entity is the business or organization responsible for originating the communication. The PE ID is the identifier assigned to that registered entity and is used as part of the approved sender/template relationship.
Why It Is Important
PE ID in Alert21
Store the approved PE details once in the customer’s Alert21 configuration. When a mapped Template ID is used, the platform can attach the appropriate PE-related metadata internally instead of requiring the developer to transmit it on every send.
Keep Registration Details Current
Changes in legal/business information, sender ownership or DLT status can affect sending. Customers should keep Alert21 configuration synchronized with approved DLT records.
